Poison A or Poison B

Unless you’ve worked your way off the grid, in which case you’re probably not reading this to begin with,  then you’re fully aware that it is political season.  If you don’t have a fervent excitement about voting this year, then well, you’re probably not a moron.  You’ve basically been handed two glasses filled with poison and told to drink one.  Both have the potential to be incredibly dangerous, but who is to say which the more dangerous of the two actually is?   One group of people is going to tell you that poison A is going to kill you slower which means you’ll have longer to live.  The other group is going to tell you that poison B won’t be as painful as it kills you quicker.  Both sides are going to argue their preference of poison; which will ultimately leave you dead regardless of which one you choose to ingest.

But what if there was another option?  What if you didn’t have to drink either one?  What if you took your eyes aware from your impending doom long enough to realize there’s a glass of clear liquid sitting on the table across the room?  What if you smelled it and there was no pungent odor.  What if you shook it and it remained clear?  What if there was someone trying to tell you that its water, but you can barely make out the echo of the words between the thunderous voracity of the A and B crowds arguing about which poison you should drink?  Would you tell them to shut up and try to listen to what the other person had to say or would you continue to believe what they had to say about their poison?

Now assume that there were a bunch of people in a room together and they all had to decide between poison A or poison B and which ever was the majority was what you all had to drink.  Yet you still knew about the glass of water on the table.  Would you allow them all to decide on the popular poison or would you try to garner as much attention to the water that you could be drinking instead?

Right now you are all being asked to pick between poisons.  It is well known that both Trump and Clinton are not good candidates for the presidency.  It has gotten to the point that you can not hear a viable argument for why you should vote for one without mentioning stopping the other.  In the wake of both the RNC and DNC there has been even further prodding to kill yourselves with one poison so that we all don’t have to drink the other poison.

Heads you lose.  Heads you lose.

Within twenty minutes I’ve had two articles pop up from left-wing sources formerly supporting Sanders who are now on the Clinton band wagon because they are afraid of what will happen if Trump gets elected.  The audacity to these articles is that they fully expect you to give up any hope of getting people to drink the water and want you to drink their poison before you’re forced to drink the poison of the other side.  One of these articles came from the ever popular race-baiter, Shaun King, who as of May 27th was stating that Hillary should drop from the race amid her email scandal (seen here).

Yet, having written that two months ago, he has now decided that there is no other option for him but to drink the Clinton Kool-ade and toe the party line to prevent the boogyman from taking over (seen here).

So why the flippy floppy from the bastion of liberalism?  Why jump ship when he so clearly states that he actually supports drinking water in his article?  Its because Shaun King, like most people, is afraid and a coward.  He is so afraid that he may have to drink a less appealing poison that he is willing to put his choice of poison to his lips and prepare to take a huge, deathly gulp.  The sad part, is that many of you are willing little lemmings to follow suite to unquestioningly drink the poison of the chosen political party and ignore the people handing out free cups of water.

This article has, thus far, primarily focused on the bandwagoning of liberals, but fear not (punny, given the context) conservatives, you are equally as obnoxious in your efforts to stop Clinton.  In fact, that has been the main source of rally cries behind Trump long before the Democratic Party fell to shit and started eating itself with scandal.  #Neverhillary has been a thing for over two years now.  I know, because I called this from way out and was on board with Clinton never seeing the Whitehouse again.  I have been a supporter of that movement for a while.  Unfortunately, you ignant sum-bitches chose to back a clown shoe of a person to face off with her and now there is also the late-blooming #Nevertrump in response to it.

Don’t kid yourselves, I don’t buy into the overt racism lines that people try to attribute to him.  I know what he said and the context to it, which is left out of every democrat’s mouth when they quote him with a cherry picked sentence.  But listen to man.  He says absolutely NOTHING.  There is nothing informative.  There is nothing substantial.  Its just words that lead no where and are enough to get cheers rolling.  Its fluff.  All of it.  As opposed to when I listen to Clinton and everything I hear sounds like an absolute lie.  They both suck.

Clinton was relatively unsuccessful in every position she has held and has been marred with scandal after scandal to finally culminate in the evident corruption involving the FBI director who declared that despite all of the obvious mishandling of information she has done he sees no reason to prosecute her.  Trump, now apparently has also urged a foreign agency to hack into the Democratic National Convention emails and to use their classified documents against them as well.  Both of these alone are worth the title of traitor.  If I, the common man, did either of these my new forwarding address would be Ft Levinworth, KS.  But since they are both elitists guess what’s not going to happen?  If you guessed anything, well, you’re probably right.  So where does that leave us.  Both poisons clearly suck and will kill you, even by their own supporters accounts, so what now?  What about the water?

You have a unique chance in history to stand up and speak your conscience when it comes to the future of this country.  There are, and always have been, other options out there.  Our government isn’t a two party system; in fact, its widely discussed that the founders never intended for there to even be political parties at all.  The only people that benefit from having you believe that your only options are A and B are the two political parties that are in power themselves.  They already fight between themselves to maintain control of power, why would they ever want you to think you had any other choice but the options that lead to them being in charge?  Every single vote for an independent, libertarian, green partier, or ect is just less power and authority the left and the right maintains over you, the common citizen.  Stop letting them dictate your options.  Stand strong.  Look at the issues at hand.  Find a candidate that you align to and whether you feel they have any single chance of winning, hold true to what you feel.  Be brave in the face of being diminished, discouraged, and belittled.  The cronies of a two party, poisoned system are all ways going to try and play you for the fearful coward.  They want you to give up your morals to bolster their power and to get their way and will say anything to get you to do as such.  Whether playing on your fears, your hatred, or even attempting to ensnare your compassion; their goals aren’t in your best interest but in their own.

One could ask, “but isn’t that what you’re doing as you promote not voting for Trump or Clinton”?  No. It’s not.  If at the end of the day you want to vote for them, honestly and truly, fuckin’ do it man!  If you don’t, that’s great too!  But stop being controlled by fear.  I know who and why I am voting.  I am and have been decided for a while.  I, however, to show my sincerity on the matter, am not pushing my choice on anyone.  That’s not what this post is about, but rather to ensure that the thought is earwormed that you do not have to settle for drinking poison because you are worried about which way the mob is going to go.  You do not have to vote out of fear, but rather vote your conscience and be content that you made it known on that day, that regardless of the outcome, you stood by your values and beliefs and have refrained from compromising your integrity.  That is all I ask, regardless of who gets your vote.

Rage Against The Machine Is The Reason I’m On Watch Lists

I’ve been meaning to post this for a while, I just never got around to it, but I had a little free time on lunch so I’m cranking this one out while I can.

RageAgainstTheMachine002

Its no surprise having spent the majority of my formative years in the 90’s that I grew up listening to Rage Against The Machine.  Hell, if you’ve ever been in a vehicle with me it shouldn’t be a surprise, since usually I have it playing obnoxiously loud at some point.  This band definitely played a massive role in why I turned out the way I did.  Why when other kids were content to conform to the aeropostle style of living, I was reading up on wars and history.  Why when my peers wore golden crosses on necklaces, I wore a pewter anarchy symbol (misguided as it was at the time, as now I see that anarchy is just more of a mess than the current state).
Rage Against The Machine helped to open my eyes to the problems of the world.  The real issues, like wrongful imprisonment, violations of amendments and corruption of officials to name a few things.  Socialist as some of their lyrics may seem, it was a view to me to return power to the working man.  For there to be jobs where they are needed, for corruption to be rooted out and officials to be removed from their positions in those cases.  To provide equal rights and be indifferent to the things that are fed to us by the media groups.  To stand up for what is right.   Ultimately, they showed me to look at what is really going on, not just what you are expected to see.
All and all, Rage Against The Machine is the reason for any of the government watch lists I’m on.

Big-Brother

Corporate Politics

I had intended to write a post about egos and their negative effects when I sat down with my computer in lap tonight, though as I made my rounds on Facebook I came across a news article which caught my eye.  At first glance it comes of as a positive story about a gay rights (stop there if you think this is the place for hate-mongering towards people in the LBGT community, everyone deserves rights whether you agree or not and I will not entertain comments to the opposite).  However, once I began reading this article, it really sunk in what was occurring.  Here’s the article, so that I don’t have to explain all the details to you:
http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/feb/07/google-russian-anti-gay-laws-winter-olympics

Assuming you just read that, we will continue on.  What bothered me here is not that a stand is being made for gay rights, but that a major corporation is trying to openly and directly influence a major global power.  You may carry on about how much you hate Russia or Putin, or think this is absolutely awesome, but let me attempt to explain to you why this is potentially one of the most terrible things you could allow to happen.  Why it really started picking at my brain like a plot to a movie that may or may not star Luke Wilson.

When one country attempts to persuade another country to change its views it is called politics and is usually carried out by appropriate representatives.  This helps to keep good order and relations between countries.  There is a formal face to be presented so that proper communication can be established.  This keeps one side or the other from feeling snubbed, because they can at least express their own opinion in the form of debate or discussion.  As well, this representative is ACTUALLY given authorization to speak upon the behalf of the governing party.  If this wasn’t considered to be the appropriate way of doing things we would have never developed government systems and put people in charge in the first place.

Now, what we have run into with this corporation trying to influence a nation is a limited group of people, with albeit, good intentions trying to force political change in a country in which they don’t live.  Still sounds somewhat harmless, yes?  Lets think about what this opens the gate way towards.  Once corporations begin influencing government affairs openly and publicly, we will wind up with political candidates being promoted by corporations.  Instead of voters making the choice between pro-choice or pro-life, we’ll have simpletons that know nothing about their candidates, their views and values, and will base their opinions on whether or not Yahoo likes them.  People complain enough of party politics and picking between republican and democrat, well now your choices are going to be Coke and Pepsi’s respective candidates.  Oh, you like Apple?  Apple likes this guy, so don’t worry about the fact that he wants to tax the ever-loving fuck out of you.  Apple says he’s good because we told him what we wanted him to say so that we will back him in his candidacy.

These corporations aren’t benevolent, appointed, we got your best interest in mind kind of guys.  The corporate world can be rather cut throat and that typically leaves ruthless and self serving individuals at the top.  Am I saying that’s the case with Google?  No, I can’t speak on that because I don’t know.  I actually really like Google from my limited experience with them, but that’s not the point.  We are treading a dangerously idiotic path to let a name brand dictate political influence and foreign policy.  Any moron can be lured into voting towards something he knows nothing about if you tell him his favorite truck company likes this generalized political concept.  And to fall hook-line-and sinker for it, as the saying goes, you only are allowing the world to slip straight down into the garbage disposal.

Please stop handing over your common sense.  Stop going with the motion of things, the movement of the crowd in the riot, analyze your surroundings for at least a split second, and then make your own decisions towards the event in which you have found yourself.  Read between lines.  Gather information.  Make informed choices when you have the time to think things through, go with your gut when you have no other choice.  But either way,  stop blindly pressing the buttons of the world, before you accidentally hit the big red one labeled “NUKE”.

New Year’s Revolution

Well, here it is.  2014.  A new year, new bunch of resolutions that people will fall through on.  It happens each year, without fail.  At this point if any of us are surprised it is your own fault for believing any of them possible.

Onward, however.

More and more, I see new people coming forth with idealistic views towards government, big business, democrats, republicans, gays, races, religions, and pretty much every sort of difference that you can imagine between two people and any sort of reason not to get along.  Its mildly disturbing, that so many people are falling into this propagated mindset, but if you want to be led and be sheeple, carry-on. I would propose to you that you stop listening to what every one else is saying, stop marching to the drums of war, and make your own observations.  Is the news trust-worthy?  Not particularly, but if you can read in between what is being said you might take away a bit of information that ties into something else.  However, first you must stop being concerned with such malicious garbage as being concerned with people like Phil Robertson (those of you who may not know, care, or are reading this after this issue has died down; he made a statement in GQ about gays and their inability to get to heaven).  Lets put it this way, if they are mentioned in The Enquirer, you should probably not value their opinion unless you want advice on acting or the music industry.  Celebrities aren’t politicians, and politicians should never be celebrities.  While I’m at it, stop holding celebrities in such high regard in general.  There are better people out there to idolize than Lil Wayne.

Regardless of that, the big thing as of late that has really caught my attention has been an influx of groups of would be revolutionaries.  As noble as the sentiment is, the concept behind it is ridiculous.  When you have to try to drum up support by taping up a print up ad with pull tabs providing a facebook page on the doors of walmart what sort of revolutionaries do you perceive that you are going to draw to your cause?  The ones I, and others as well, envision will be drawn to this shallow attempt are a bunch of backwoods, good ol’ boys, that like to drink beer and shoot guns.  The bunch that only wants a revolution because of the face value that a black president ran this country to the ground.  The bunch that shows up to the group meeting in armored hoverounds.   And certainly the ones that have been laughed out of every serious group they may have ever contacted.  Honestly though, what these groups actually intend to accomplish is far from possible.  What sort of plan do you have?  What is your goal?  Impeaching the President?  If it hasn’t happened yet, your band of miscreants is not likely to make it happen before his term is over.  Even if it did happen, and you overthrew the government, what is your plan afterwards?  Mass anarchy?  That aside, if anyone considered your group that much of a threat, after NDAA has been re-approved, you would just go away.  Drop your hook in shallow water, and the best you will get is small fish.

I’ve also had examples given though which inspire hope. A certain few individuals that seem to have the right mindset and outlook.  Starting a revolution is short sighted.  Surviving the downfall that is likely to eventually happen anyways, that is where your money should be.  Guys(neuter) that are out there training to survive.  Guys that are out there getting involved with communities.  Guys that are planning communities.  Guys that are learning valuable skills that a community needs.  Those are going to be the ones standing when things finally go south.  Stop inciting panic and subversion, and figure out how you can actually make an improvement, instead of blowing smoke and being a keyboard warrior.

All great nations fall in their own time.  Where are you going to be when it happens again?  Are you going to be ready?
